This is from Nigella Lawson's How to be a Domestic Goddess cookbook. Its a great cake, especially with a little bit of strawberry jam on it as it is a very simple vanilla taste, but lovely. Be warned, it truly does take an hour to cook (so dont start baking at quarter to eleven at night, as I did) but worth the wait.
