Banana Sponge Traybake

This traybake - banana sponge with a chocolate frosting - was made following a total panic. After cooking dinner, at about 8pm, I suddenly remembered that I had promised to make a cake for a meeting the next day! This only required nipping out to the nearest shop for some unsalted butter, and came together and cooked pretty quickly after that!

These were from a book called '200 Cakes and Bakes' which is full of simple but good bakes!
