Double Birthday Cakes

Why have one birthday cake when you can have... two? So for my last birthday I couldn't decide between chocolate cake (with avocado icing) or carrot cake, so I made both!

This was a carrot cake made with the Hummingbird Bakery's carrot cake recipe from their first cookbook - a classic recipe that never fails me!

Both cakes together, I think they compliment each other well. Luckily I had two cake tins that could fit them.

So, just a friendly reminder, why have one cake when you can have two!
