Cornflake Cookies

These are from the third hummingbird book, Home Sweet Home. I made them by first baking a tray of cornflakes, sugar and melted butter until it was crispy, which took about 20 minutes. This tray was then broken up into the cookie mixture, which was otherwise made like a standard chocolate chip cookie recipe. The cornflakes added an interesting, crunchier texture and I thought that it was agood twist on a popular recipe.
