Chocolate and Strawberry Cake

Yes, its another chocolate cake... it is really a birthday without a cake? ;)

The strawberries on top were an easy way to decorate this, without having to get any special decoration. I also think strawberry and chocolate is a great combo!

I used the classic recipe here, but doubled it to make a four layer cake!

So 350g each of butter, soft brown sugar, self raising flour, 6 medium eggs and 40g of cocoa powder. 

Cream the butter and sugar, mix in the eggs, then sifted flour and cocoa powder. Divide into four equal circular cake tins, and bake for 20 -25 minutes or until spongy to the touch.

Then decorate with chocolate buttercream and strawberries and you have a celebration ready cake!
