Chocolate Workshop

I recently went to a chocolate workshop - it was really fun, so here's a little bit about the experience!

In the first section of the workshop we made a chocolate shape with either milk or dark chocolate and then could decorate it with the other chocolate, as well as other decorations - there were raspberry curls, coconut sprinkles, and little pieces of white chocolate as well.
In the second section of the workshop we made ganache, which we then made into small spheres (or at least aimed for that shape!), then dipped them in either dark or milk chocolate, and again got to decorate them with a few different toppings. We also had a few pieces of fudge which we shaped then decorated as well. We had a few golden transfers - I really liked these on the dark chocolate!

While the chocolate was setting on the ganache, we had a short talk about the history of chocolate and how chocolate is made. The talk was interesting and a good length.

The above picture is mine and my boyfriend's chocolates - we took these home as well as the larger chocolate shapes. The workshop was designed to be done in pairs, and was a fun gift experience for two hours!

Not sponsored or gifted by the company (this was a birthday present from my boyfriend) but it was a fun different gift, and the chocolate was tasty and we got to bring lots home!
