Gingerbread Stars







Here's my gingerbread recipe!

125g unsalted butter
120g soft brown sugar
5 tbsp golden syrup
325g plain flour
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon

Melt the butter, sugar and golden syrup over a low heat on the hob until everything is melted and combined. Then take off the heat and mix in the flour, bicarb, ginger and cinnamon. Lightly flour a work surface and roll the dough out, then cut whatever shapes you like! I got these cutters for Christmas and finally got to use them - there were nine stars that I build a tower with. Once cut, put on baking trays and bake for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
